At The Part IV Test Site

How To Register At The Test Site

The NBCE will post your test site and schedule approximately 8 weeks before the exam.

  • Report to the location indicated on your MyNBCE account under My Exam / Exams then scroll down to Part IV
  • Register on the date and time indicated in your MyNBCE account.
  • If you do not register at the correct location, day, and time, you will not be able to take the exam.
  • We recommend professional office attire, including shoes.
  • You may not wear a lab coat.
  • We strongly discourage wearing sweatpants, hoodies, or school apparel of any kind.

Security staff will inspect all items and may ask you to place your personal items in a small plastic bag. You may retrieve your belongings at the end of the day.

  • One form of valid identification for registration.
    • A government-issued photo ID (valid driver’s license, state/province ID card, passport, or military ID card).
  • A key or keyless entry device for your car.
  • Beverages, and/or a snack in a clear plastic bag. (No metal utensils, please,) Staff will keep these items until you have completed your exams for the day.
  • Feminine hygiene products are allowed at testing facilities.

Nursing mothers should notify registration staff upon arrival at the test site. They may bring a breast pump and a small cooler (which will be inspected) and may access these items only during scheduled break times between examinations.

The NBCE will assign you to either a Friday/Saturday or a Friday/Sunday testing schedule for the Part IV Exam.

 

  • Friday:
    • Be prepared to spend 4 hours at the test site for the Diagnostic Imaging (DIM) portion of the exam.
  • Second day of testing:
    • Your second day is either Saturday or Sunday. Review your assigned testing schedule on your MyNBCE user account.
    • Be prepared to spend 7 to 9 hours at the test site.
    • You will take the Chiropractic Technique and Case Management examinations.

You may be disqualified or permanently prohibited from taking or continuing to take an examination, and your scores on an examination or all examinations taken may be withheld, revoked, or invalidated, if the test administrator or other NBCE representatives conclude:

 

  1. You have provided any false or misleading information, committed forgery, or failed to reveal material information in any communication directed to the NBCE, or on any forms submitted to the NBCE.
  2. You take an examination for another person or another person takes an examination in your place.
  3. You have given or received aid in the examination as evidenced by observation or statistical analyses of answer sheets.
  4. You have engaged in any act or conduct that jeopardizes or could jeopardize the security or integrity of NBCE examinations; such action or conduct may include, but is not limited to, copying or reproducing any portion of the examination, or memorizing questions and answers and furnishing those memorized questions and/or answers to any other person at any time.
  5. You have engaged in any other conduct that may invalidate the examination results, including, but not limited to, removing items from the testing room.
  6. You have engaged in any behavior that is deemed to be disruptive, offensive or inappropriate in any way to the testing environment.

NBCE examinations are copyrighted. Reproduction of NBCE test questions violates copyright laws and may result in prosecution. The NBCE may contact school officials and annotate transcripts of examinees whose conduct is deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the testing process.
