What are the Oregon exams?
Who can take the Oregon exams?
To be able to take the Oregon examinations, you must have applied for license as a chiropractor and received approval from the state of Oregon.
If you receive a failing score on either the OGG or the MSP, you can apply to retake the examination at your earliest convenience. There is no limit on the number of times you may retake these examinations.
Where can I take the Oregon exams?
The Oregon OGG and MSP exams are adminstered at Pearson VUE testing centers throughout North America.

What are the fees for the Oregon exams?
The fees for the Oregon exams are:
- OGG and MSP (both exams) $150
- OGG only (Retake) $85
- MSP only (Retake) $85
NBCE fees must be paid online by credit card through your MyNBCE account. The NBCE accepts Mastercard, VISA, and Discover credit cards.
What is included on the Oregon Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Genitourinary (OGG) Exam?
The test plan is the blueprint from which each exam is constructed. In the OGG test plan below, the emphasis devoted to each subject category appears as a percentage beside the categories included in each exam.
- Breast examination and disorders 8%
- Gynecological examination 16%
- Gynecological disease and abnormalities 26%
- Pregnancy 16%
- Labor and delivery 8%
- Postpartum 16%
- Obstetric disorders 10%
What is included on the Oregon Minor Surgery and Proctology (MSP) Exam?
The test plan is the blueprint from which each exam is constructed. In the MSP test plan below, the emphasis devoted to each subject category appears as a percentage beside the categories included in each exam.
- Sterile fields 10%
- Local anesthetics 15%
- Wound closure and elective procedures 24%
- Risks, complications, and legal limitations 14%
- Proctological examination and anatomy 12%
- Proctological disorders 25%
How are the Oregon exams scored?
Within two weeks following the exam, the NBCE will post your score to your MyNBCE account. At the same time, the NBCE will electronically submit your score to the Oregon licensing board. You will not receive scores at the testing center.
The Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners requires a passing score of 75% on each examination. If you score below 75%, you will be required to retake the examination.
